25 Years of Service
Virtual Permit
Employees with 25 years of service by August 31 can receive a complimentary Faculty/ Staff Surface permit. You’ll see this option in the parking portal during open sales time if you’re eligible. This status is verified through HR. This reduction is not prorated or adjusted during the year.

Permit Upgrade
Apply the cost of the Faculty/Staff surface permit to an All Garage Reserved Zone permit for more convenient parking. Just pay the difference. Reserved Space permit holders also have this option to retain their spot.
A67 - A87
Virtual Permit
If you live in Fell or School Street apartments and have a vehicle registered to you or a direct family member, you can purchase a permit to park at either location.
Visitors cannot use A67 – A87 permits but can utilize street parking, metered spaces, pay lots, or purchase a one-day visitor permit.

The Business permit can be purchased for the year or for a shorter amount of time. Business spaces have a strict time limit and are meant for short-term parking.

If using a pay lot or metered space with a Business permit, no payment is required for the first two hours. Parking must be paid after the first two hours. Time limits are strictly enforced. Permit holders cannot move from one space to another or exit the space and return to it to gain additional time. Any faculty or staff member using this permit must also have their own personal parking permit.
Emeritus/Retiree Permit
Virtual Permit
To be eligible for this benefit, you must show a current University ID with your retiree or survivor status. This permit is for the exclusive use of the emeritus or retiree and may not be transferred to any other individual. This permit is not valid in hourly pay lots or meters.

Motorcycles and mopeds must always park in designated motorcycle areas. Parking in other spaces around campus, including garages, individual spaces, and bike racks, is not permitted.

Overnight Temporary
Physical Permit
An overnight permit allows those needing temporary accommodations to park on campus overnight. If you need temporary parking arrangements after business hours, contact the University Police Department: (309) 438-8631. Temporary overnight permits expire at 9 a.m.

Reserved Departmental Space
Physical Permit
Departmental reserved spaces are intended to facilitate departmental operations and accommodate departmental guests, donors, vendors, or others who would not normally have parking privileges on campus or in the area of the reserved space. This permit requires approval through the Office of Parking and Transportation. Approval is not guaranteed.
