*The Student Storage lot permits are valid from August 15 through May 15.
**Overnight guests on campus visiting residence hall (dorm) students must purchase a permit from the Office of Parking and Transportation. Visitors arriving after office hours must secure a temporary parking passes from the ISU police department located in the Nelson Smith Building. There is no overnight parking in any of the garages.
***A complimentary Faculty/Staff permit will be issued to employees with 25 years or more of service at Illinois State University. Letters will be sent to individuals that qualify in the first year of qualification. After the initial letter, the complimentary permit will be issued but no additional letter sent out. The permit renewal form will have a space for the 25 year employee to indicate their status. This status is established through Human Resources. If the employee has not received the 25 year status confirmation letter in the current year or a previous one, they should not indicate 25 year status on their renewal form. Employees who believe they qualify but have not been notified should contact our office.
****Partial refunds are available for permit holders who return their permit before January 1st. The refund will be for one half of the purchase price. Permit refunds are not available after January 1st. To obtain your refund, you must bring your permit into our office and fill out the proper paperwork for a refund. Refunds are mailed to permit holders who purchased by cash, check or credit card. If payroll deduction was used to make the purchase, it will be stopped at the end of the month in which refund is requested. Refunds are processed through our Comptroller's Office and may take 4-6 weeks before the refund is mailed. There is no refund for temporary permits.
*****Extra Help employees may elect to purchase a faculty-staff surface permit or a reserved space or zone permit. They may not participate in payroll deduction so the permit must be paid for in full at the time of purchase.
