NiteRide provides transportation from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., seven days a week during fall and spring semesters, around campus and to other locations like The Shoppes at College Hills, Wal-Mart, and Parkway Plaza.
You do not have to be at a point where a bus-stop sign is located in order to board a bus. The bus driver will stop and allow you to board or alight the bus at any corner where it is safe to stop. If the driver cannot stop at the point you wish to board or alight the bus, the driver will stop at the nearest possible location where it is safe to make the stop.
This program is offered to students, faculty and staff at no cost, providing they have a valid ID. All other rides will be charged a fare. Please note that drivers do not make change or handle fares.
Because Illinois State University strives to accommodate all riders, the NiteRide bus service operates a special curb-to-curb service. The service area of the Special Service Bus is a 3/4 mile radius of the NiteRide fixed route service area.
Eligibility for this bus service is based on criteria which have been adopted by Connect Transit and the Office of Parking and Transportation. Special bus service is available during the same operating hours and on the same days as the NiteRide fixed route services. The special service bus is available by (next day) reservation only.
